Griff, a 19 yer old singer/songwriter, began teaching herself to record and produce music on her brother's laptop via YouTube, after being gifted an iPod containing a Taylor Swift album at the age of eight.

After finishing her A Levels, she took a gap year to focus on her musical career, adopting the stage name Griff as she believed her real name, Sarah Griffiths, 'wasn't that glamourous'. Last year she signed to Warner Records to release her debut single Mirror Talk, which Annie Mac featured on BBC Radio 1's New Name playlist. 2020 saw Griff release a collaboration with German DJ Zedd, receive an Ivor Novello Rising Star nomination, and gain praise for her vocals on the soundtrack to Disney's From Our Family To Yours Christmas advert. The Hertfordshire born musician has also been tipped as one to watch for this year by BBC Music, after being named on the Sound of 2021 longlist.
